I wanted to share the good news that Joshua has come back safely from Iraq and is currently at his base in Ft Bragg, NC. He called me at 5:30 in the morning a few days ago to tell me he was safely back in the country. I didn't mind a bit.

He will be getting a leave to come back to Spokane for one of the holidays, probably Christmas. He has been in Iraq nearly 15 months, with only one 2 week leave in April. It is so good to be able to call him again.
I will be leaving tomorrow for some meetings in Montana. Then I'm planning to drive back to South Dakota to be in some meetings in the area with Glenn and Terrie Smith, the couple who have been receiving the gemstones. They will be in Sioux Falls and Northfield, MN the last week of October.
I am using the occasion to prayerfully support them and also to see my family one more time before the snow flies. It is unlikely I will see any of them for the holidays. Distance and road conditions usually make winter travel precarious and unwise.
