Reporting in from Washington, DC on 2-22 - February 23, 2007

Dearest Friends and Intercessors,

WOW!!!!!! What an awesome day and sense of God's presence and pleasureas I stepped foot into Washington, DC today on 2-22 -07. I wasoverwhelmed with the sense of destiny and purpose and the great lovethe Father has for this country. It was a day to honor GeorgeWashington, the father of our country, and our Heavenly Father, theFather of our heavenly country and home.

I want to give you a report on 2-22 about this historical day.

His-story.

Leading up to my flight yesterday, I was involved with an absolutelywonderful conference in Coeur D Alene, ID from 2-12 to 2-15. It wasfilled with excellent speakers and the spirit of excellence was upon the wonderful staff and workers of Gateway who tirelessly and selflessly served and accommodated over 600 registered guests from across America and South Africa.

The 2-12 date was set specificallyto mark the beginning date of the Latter Rain Revival that started on 2-12, 1948. The gathering of people was historical and the sounds of worship, laughter, and fellowship filled the conference room and hallways. For me, it was glorious to see wonderful friends from NC, WI, SD, ID and all over. The nights were late, and the meetings glorious.

I was blessed with my long time friend, Brenda Rogers, coming to stay with me. She currently lives in Cinninati, OH. Brenda and I met in April, 1998 at Ruth Helfin's house in Jerusalem. She's been with me on several adventures and we had a wonderful time catching up and sharing the things of the Lord. Often we'd talk about something, and within hours, it would be the content of one of the speakers. You'd have thought I'd had their notes.

I had two days to ready for this trip to Washington, DC. On Monday morning, I woke up quite sick and extremely dizzy. I had not slept well, was fighting a cold, and my ears evidently were filling with some fluid. I woke in the night, with my head spinning and that OH, NO! sick feeling.

When I got up, I was so dizzy I had to hang onto the walls. It seemed unlikely I'd catch anything that quick, and assumed it might be a spiritual attack. I fought nausea and dizziness all morning, but determined to press thru and attended a ministers luncheon in north Spokane. Sometimes, you just gotta go and do, no matter how rotten you think you feel. As I pressed, I felt better, but still queasy and uneasy.

That night I was dizzy again the minute my head hit the pillow. It reminded me of two episodes I've had with vertigo, but both of those were coming off extended airplane rides. I hadn't even boarded the plane yet. I woke dizzy on Tuesday morning, but my fierce determination to get ready, pack, and get to Washington, DC broke the nausea and I just kept going and didn't stop.

That night I drove to northern Spokane to stay a few hours with my amazing friend, Chip, who actually OFFERS to take me to the airport an early hours and keep my van. I'm so blessed by her servant's heart. This flight was early. We left herhouse at 3:30 am to get to the airport by 4:00 am and board the plane at 5:00 am. Now you know why I got that wonderful price of $222 for a roundtrip from Spokane to Baltimore. I barely slept that night, but the Lord's strength and grace enabled me to just keep on. I noticed, however, when I laid down at Chip's house for a few hours, thedizziness was GONE.

My special friends, Judy and Gerri, who work with Wade Taylor's ministry picked me up at the airport. My luggage seems to take forever coming off the line. I do think it must have been the last 2 pieces, BUT, they did come and weren't lost. To avoid some traffic, we stopped to eat and catch up. I was feeling pretty weak and tired, but very happy to have arrived safely in Baltimore.

The excitement and anticipation of this day ignited and excited me enough to throw off the weariness. I went to bed early and slept amazingly well, waking up refreshed and eager for the day's adventure. To the glory of HIS grace, there have been no further attacks of dizziness or nausea. I am still fighting some cold symtoms, but believe they will go soon too. Have to.

I've taken the trouble of telling you about it to encourage you and let you know how often the enemy comes with sickness and wearinessto get us to focus on symtoms and fears, instead of pressing thru itand refusing entry. He likes to knock on your door and mine withall kinds of stuff. We are learning to shut the door on our adversary and open the door to the Lord to bring the grace, strength, and stamina we need. Isaiah 22:22 offers us the key.

This morning I awake amazingly refreshed with the joy of the Lord and what I call the compelling and propelling Spirit of the Lord carrying us into the day's assignment.

We arrived in Washington, DC about 11:00, going to the apartment of Wade Taylor, who lives about 5 blocks from the capitol. I caught sight of the capital as we drove down his street and had to pinch myself Iwas really there and despite the tremendous adversity, I had prevailed and was actually going to place my foot in DC on 2-22.

There were 5 of us. The number 5, which means grace, was before us all day. We parked on 5th avenue. Later, we caught a cab and the last 3 numbers were 555. The 5 of us, Wade Taylor - Gerri, an intercessor - Judy, Wade's secretary - Joan, another intercessor, and myself gathered in Wade's front room to pray about the day.

I was able to share the story of my going to the town of George, Washington, and Vantage, Washington, on 2-22-05. Also the story of the dirt that had been given to me from 4 places regarding George Washington. You may remember it was given to me on 2-22-05. At 12:22, we prayed loudly in the spirit and released the sound of worship and intercession.

Afterwards, we caught a cab to the Washington monument. It was the main place I felt to pray. The day was clear and the temperature around 50. Since the east coast had experienced some severe weather and ice storms recently, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was elated when the skies were clear blue and the temperature pleasant. It was a wonderful sign of an open heaven and the sun shining on us felt so good.

While at Wade's and in prayer, suddenly the skies clouded over, and in the midst of our praying andloud proclamation, it thundered. Inside, I was thinking oh, no. That means rain.

BUT, within minutes, the skies cleared once again. We were led to scripture regarding the voice of the Lord thundering and were struck (pardon the pun) with the thought of HIS voice thundering approval at our prayers and efforts. I was reminded of the day that Jesus was baptized and the VOICE of theFather came, "This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased".

Most didn't hear the voice, for SOME said it only thundered. We knew HIS VOICE was in the thunder and it only thundered once. The timing of it was just 2 - 2 - 2 perfect.

It has been nearly 10 years since I have been near the capital. As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I tended to avoid DC and get around it as quick as possible when traveling in the area.

Today, the Lord led me into the heart of city and as we approached the Washington monument, I went with a sure-footedness and confidence I was indeed in the right place and at the right time.

We were planning to be at the monument to say a monumental prayerat 2:22. The wind was picking up as we walked, but the temperatures still pleasant. As we entered the circle of 50 flags surrending the monument the wind increased drastically and nearly blew us over.

It was uncanny. We just kept walking and circling the monument. Eventually, I felt to take some of the water I'd brought with me that encompasses all my travels for the last 7 years and anoint the corners of the monument. It seemed the direction of what we were to do only happened as we walked and then needed action could be applied. We waited within that very windy circle for the 2:22 moment.

Now to bring in another amazing story.

While staying Moravian Falls last year, the Lord connected me to a lovely family, Brett and Michelle Rademacher, and their 5 beautiful children. Brett was one of the businessmen I first met in June 2005 and knew the Lord was connecting us for kingdom purposes and also because of Brett'sinterest in my water story. Brett and Michelle are both originally fromSpokane, altho they have lived away for many years and currently reside in Moravian Falls, NC. In December, Brett and Michelle had made a trip toSpokane and CdA and are now praying and considering moving back to the area.

Brett had also decided to come to the Quantum Gllory conference inCdA on 2-12 to 2-15. While at the conference, exactly one week agotoday, on 2-15, several of us were sitting around a table talking and sharing the amazing workings of the Lord and knowing we were being divinely connected for kingdom purpose and on purpose. They asked me about my coming trip to DC with intentions to pray with me.

As I was sharing, Brett's wife, Michelle, who was still in North Carolina, text messaged Brett that the Lord had spoken to her. She felt they were to go as a family to Washington, DC to pray at the Washington monument, the FTC buillding and the Potomac River. They knew they were to meet me at the Washington memorial today on 2-22. We hadn't talked about exactly what time to meet, but Brett and Michelle drove up yesterday from Moravian Falls and Brett said it was a "no brainer" that I'd surely want to be there at 2:22. So they just showed up and there we were. It was some kinda exciting!!

At precisely 2:22, Rachel, their 14 year daughter, a beautiful young girl with the touch of God on her life, lifted the shofar and blew it towards the monument. Rachel is exceptionally anointed to blow a shofar and blow it well. It seemed, however, very difficult for her and the wind was ferocious. However, the sound went forth. Later I realized the enemy really didn't want that sounded there and tried to muffle the sound and effect. However, the sound still went out and those acts of obedience, sacrifice, and faith bring the equation into our favor. We took some great pictures which I'll try to send at a later date.

Judy felt I should go to the reflection pond. As we walked across the field, I was struck with how many people have gathered on that lawn an how much prayer as gone forth. Earlier while praying with Wade I was touched with the discouragement of intercessors and Christians in DC who have prayed so faithfully and yet, things seem to going the opposite direction. I'm so grateful for each person who has ever stepped foot in Washington, DC with a prayer on their lips and love in their hearts for America.

Near the reflection pool is the World War II memorial. Also the columns of stone with each state chiseled in the stone. I stood at several states to get my picture taken in that hair raising wind. It was definitely not a good hair day.

Because the pool has been drained for the winter, I was able literally to step into the pool and walk toward the center. There I poured out the waters of our nation as a prophetic act and declaration. I had not thought of that or considered it earlier. It seemed the day flowed easily and spontaneous just as we walked.

I'd felt the check of the Lord not to be concerned with what to do... just get there and BE THERE. The directions came on the spot as we walked and prayed. While walking in the drained pool area, I couldn't help but pick up 2 nickels I found. On the 2-22 day, it was double grace. It was right after that we hailed a taxi and the last 3 digits were 555. Just more signs, but arent' they fun??

Once our mission was accomplished we went to a wonderful deli to eat together and share our thoughts of the day. Afterwards we went back to Wade's apartment to gather for prayer. I asked if we could take communion together.

For those of you who do not know Wade Taylor, please go to his website: wadetaylor.com. Wade is a true general of intercession. He is in his 80's and still young in heart and appearance. He has been a contributing author to Morning Star Ministries and edited his own magazine, called The Banner.

Wade was the president of Pinecrest Bible School in Salisbury, NY for many years. He now resides in Washington, DC to walk the streets, pray, and be a presence in the city. He continues to write and speak across the country. Wade had written two wonderful books: The Secret of the Stairs and Waterspouts of Glory.

Some time back Morning Star did an interesting article about Wade as he takes communion every day; has done so for many years and appears to have stopped and slowed the aging process and looks much younger than his 80 something years.

I felt very honored indeed to have had Wade Taylor set aside his day for us to come and pray together. It was another honor to have him serve communion to the 5 of us. And to top off a beautiful day, he prayed for me an impartation of what he has and who he is. I felt the heart of a true father in the faith and I was greatly blessed to have spent the day with him and 3 other dedicated intercessors who co-laborer in the kingdom.

Tomorrow, Judy, Gerri, and I will be driving to Ashland, VA to spend the last 3 days of winter campmeeting. It will be a joy to go "home" to the place where I was mentored and ordained nearly 10 years ago. Altho' Ruth Heflin is in glory today, I felt her pleasure today as we prayed over the city she loved so much. Ruth surely carried a mantle of governmental intercession and I know she would have been pleased at our efforts today.

On Monday, I'll be blessed to connect with my amazing friend, Diane B who moved last summer to Charlotteville, VA. Diane is a wonderful intercession and historian. She will take us to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. It is after all, President's month. Diane has great insight into Lewis and Clark and has also gone on many prayer journeys.

Next Wednesday, I'm looking forward to going back to Ocean City,MD, where I prayed with intercessors the past 2 years at the Atlantic Ocean. An amazing couple named Randy and Barbara Walters operate Shiloh Ministries there and their home is a delight to behold. Barbara is a very gifted artist and has the most beautiful murals in their worship barn.

On Thursday, I'm thrilled to be going back to Milford, DL. I've had long time friends there and it was one of my original water places in March, 2000. I'm always amazed at the deep abiding friendships that remain even tho time and distance come between us. We just pick up where we left off.

On March 3, I'll be attending a meeting that Wade Taylor will be speaking at in northern Virginia. Some of the other days and dates are still to be filled in, but when the Lord is ordering your steps, you get quite astonished at where you go and what you do and who you meet.
Beloved, keep me in your prayers and hearts for the next 2 weeks. These are strategic days and connections. It is my joy to link hands and hearts across America from "sea to shining sea". You are not left out... you're in on this 2.

Your faithfulness in prayer, financial support, and friendship make it possible for me to go. And when I do, I carry you with me in heart and spirit. May you continue to be blessed and encouraged that God is in control and His hand is still on America, still on His people, and still on you.

I'm 2 - 2- 2 Blessed to know each and every one of you!!!

With love and joy, reporting in from Washington, DC...

Carla
