Dearest Friends,
Blessings and New Year’s Greetings to all of you! It has been over a month since my last correspondence and I have some wonderful things to share with you.
First of all, I am so very happy to present you with a precious gift. I have just completed the first draft of a new book that I am calling "Days of Glory", and I am sending it to you as an attachment to bring blessings, joy, and hope. With darkening storm clouds gathering all around us, I personally felt the need to go back and remind myself of the Lord’s Great Faithfulness. He began to take me back ten years ago when I faced similar darkened days, and He caused His Face to shine ever so brightly and did above and beyond all I would have ever thought or asked. It was my introduction into a Realm of Glory that I believe is being released again this year, ten years later. My friend, David Van Koevering talks about the “Power of Ten” and so I have highlighted the astonishing release of His Glory through Ruth Heflin’s ministry at Calvary Pentecostal Campground in Ashland, Virginia and my eyewitness account and experience of the gold dust and gold teeth manifestation when it first happened in 1999. As I have typed the words, I have felt a fresh wave of His Glory wash out over me as the ever increasing ripples in a pond. I trust I will splash on you as well.
The true stories following that Glory Encounter are of my returning to South Dakota and the testimonies and accounting of impartations and manifestations into the region. I am sharing candidly and honestly from my own journals, memoirs, and memory. Some of you who I met in 1999 will be surprised to find your name in the pages of a ‘book of remembrance’ that highlights some of my favorite stories of the wild and wacky world of a traveling ministry. I'm sure you will laugh and shake you head in bewilderment at the amazing ways the Lord blesses us in spite of ourselves.
If you are suffering the winter doldrums, be prepared to have your socks blessed off and walk around barefoot a few days. Truly we will remove the shoes from our feet as we stand on the Holy Ground of His Glorious Presence, realized and felt among us once again. It would be best to save the file to your computer or print it out. Take your time to read it and enjoy what I have labored extensively to bring forth as a clear and accurate accounting of the “Days of Glory” that happened ten years ago in 1999. In many ways, it will serve as a foundation for the next book I am writing about gathering the waters of America, and you will know me much better than you do now.
It is my hope to get the book formatted and printed as funds are available. The book attachment is a gift to you and only if you desire, are you welcome to partner with me for its publication. I will also be making available a DVD from the Campground in Ashland,Virginia of Silvania’s Testimony on February 6, 1999. I was an eyewitness and you’ll find me in the video if you watch carefully. I will be working on a CD audio version of my book to be released soon, so stay tuned for all the details. Also, I will have Ruth Heflin's book, "Golden Glory" available for sale and you can order your copy. It contains detailed testimonies from those who experienced the gold dust manifestation and how it caused an impartation to the readers that stunned the most skeptical.
Now for some other good news.
On January 2, 2009, I was blessed by the birth of my twelfth grandchild, a boy, named Titus Wayne, weighing 8 lbs, 5 oz. He is the newborn son of my daughter, Anne, and her husband, Dan, who live in Anderson, Indiana. Titus was due in December, but he did not want to make a showing until the new year. We all hoped we might have the New Year’s baby, but his birth was induced on Jan 2. He was still in no hurry. He joins Luke, Hannah, Ethan, and Joseph who all adore him. Starting the new year with a new baby just seems right. The fact that he is number twelve is delightfully prophetic and now I have my own tribe.
The last month since my return in December has been a season of knowing the Depths of the Lord’s love in the depths of darkness and fatigue. Spokane endured the heaviest snow on record in December, all 61 inches of it. It happened just after I arrived home, and I was so very grateful to get snowed into my very own place and not be fighting hazardous conditions on the roads or somewhere else. I have had days upon days of silence, prayer, introspection, searchings, longings, and napping. I didn't know I was so tired. I did end up spending Christmas “Home Alone” as road conditions prohibited my travel to see my middle son in Moses Lake. I came off of 12 weeks of intense travel to a screeching halt, somewhat akin to hitting a wall. It has taken over a month to clear my head, search my heart, and even begin to think of writing. That is why the book is clearly anointed by His Hand to encourage me and those who will take time to read it’s precious pages. If you're not blessed by the contents, I'll come take your temperature. Just teasing.
Now, could I share another absolutely delightful story?
My new grand piano has needed tuning this last year, but constant travel seemed to postpone it to a more convenient time. After arriving home in December, I sat down to play and worship and grew annoyed with a sticky G key right above middle C. Anyone who plays piano, knows that’s an important key in every song you play. Remembering that one free tune up came with the purchase of the piano, I decided to call the music store and see if they would still honor their offer as so much time had passed. They said they would send someone out after the holidays. So, on January 8, a distinguished looking piano tuner came to my apartment. He tried several ways to loosen up the sticky key and finally decided to slide out the whole keyboard to give him access to the little hammers on the backside that strike the strings. Before going further, he excused himself to run outside and get some oil as I also had a squeaky pedal. Glancing across my living room to the piano, I noticed what appeared to be a large speck of dirt or a tiny dust ball laying just inside the open piano casing. I decided to quick grab a rag and dust it out before he came back in and slid the entire keyboard back inside the hole that had just been left.
As I went to pick up the “dirt or dust ball”, I was quite surprised to find a small purple amethyst looking rectangular gemstone about the size of a sunflower seed. I had to grin, thankful I’d found it before he did when he came back in. After trying this and that, he finally was able to loosen up the G key and inserted the whole keyboard back into the piano casing so he could begin the actual tune up. He told me it was quite flat and with so much time elapsing since my purchase and my traveling, I’m sure it was. As he was ready to start tuning, he glanced down on the piano bench where he had laid the keyboard earlier and picked up a tiny clear gemstone. “Here”, he said, “It looks like a little rhinestone or something”. All I could say was “thanks” as I retrieved a small round clear faceted gemstone about the size of a colored pin head. How was I supposed to explain that? I didn’t try and suddenly I realized what was jamming up my key was that little clear gemstone that had gotten lodged in there somewhere. Since it had dropped out of the bottom of the keyboard as it sat on the bench where he’d worked on it, I knew that must have been the “hang up”. I was grinning by the time he left and the next day, spotted another little clear gemstone like the second one under my piano bench on the carpet. I have no explanation as to how those three little gemstones got in there, but I've sure had a lot of fun laughing about it and marveling ever since.
When I sat down after the tuning, my fingers sailed once again across the clear crisp keys of that beautiful piano. I have so many new songs that well up within me as I let my fingers dance across the keys and those too will be coming forth in the days ahead. So, pardon the pun, but “stay tuned”.
A last more difficult piece of news is that Joshua has received orders to be deployed to Afghanistan early and he will be leaving mid April to May. This makes me doubly glad I lingered on the east coast to spend Thanksgiving with him. I will probably be making a trip out to see him before he leaves the country for a year. At this point, I’m not sure if I’ll fly or drive so I can see my new grandson, Titus, on the way. By spring, I may be willing to get back into my van.
In closing, know you are loved and appreciated for your kindness and generosity over the years. I enjoy hearing from you and for some of you, it’s been a very long time. I trust my emails are a blessing to you and not just marked for deletion.
It is my hope to continue to write for the next several weeks as I trust the Lord to bring in the needed funds and rest up from so much intense travel this past year. Let your heart be your guide and if the book is a blessing to you, let me know. We can partner together for it’s release in print. It is truly my joy to release it to you before its publication as a gift and a testimony to the Faithfulness of God. We will need to be reminded often in the days ahead of us.
May His Face and Grace shine upon you all and keep you safe and satisfied in Him.
To the Praise of His Glory,
Carla
